Product Description |

Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone you know to read this book! |

You want to hear this over and over |

I read this book but listening to the CD's was the most wonderful experience. You just have to listen to it over and over. This has been a wonderful blessing to our family. You will want to listen and follow along in the book at the same time. If you never do another thing , get this set of CD's |

WOW, WOW, WOW |

Although The Shack is a fiction story, there is definitely some truth to it. Based on author's comments, the characters are made up but the bottom line is that he's been through similar story to Mack's, his wife is similar to Nan, he has 3 children on his own, his niece passed away like Missy (although she was not murdered). But overall I didn't want this book to end. The endless conversation between Mackenzie, Papa, Jesus and Sarayu I could read over, and over again. It definitely raised my vibration so big thank you to Paul Young. |
