In my research for a guitar (for son 14) this read the best. I relied heavily on the reviews (right or wrong). It payed off. It seems to be perfect. He has a friend with two electric guitars each over $800 and when he saw this one he said, "Sweet!". |

The perfect starter |
I bought this as a Christmas present for my father. He looked like a kid with a new toy. The kit arrived quickly and packaged well. It included everything to get started, even an electric tuner. The guitar and amp are of great quality. Suprisingly great quality considering how inexpensive it was. I would recommend to anyone for anyone as a gift.

Ideal for beginners |
This is a good deal for the price so be happy with what you got for the price you paid, the guitar is a good quality guitar, dont expect much out of the amp though it's really just a beginner amp the distortion sounds pretty cheap like it's coming out of a blown out speaker, but I am happy I got everything I needed in one package.
The tuner will require some tuning knowledge to use because it comes with no instructions, I instead used my brother's Korg tuner and recommend you buy one while waiting for this to be shipped to you, with the Korg tuner you know what note your tuning the guitar to and you can see exactly how much more you need to turn the tuning knob and in what direction.
The DVD is pretty fast paced for a first time beginner and requires all of your attention so no background noise or distractions, if you have never played before you will find yourself constantly pausing and rewinding so I recommend some type of computer software or lessons from an experienced player, its going to take a lot of time to learn if you have zero experience with music instruments, your not going to just watch the dvd and start playing Metallica right away.
Overall the package is a great deal for only $130, also the guitar will not be tuned so if you have ZERO guitar experience then take it to a local music shop and buy a korg tuner and have the salesman show you how to use it because the tuner it comes with is not too beginner friendly, also the guitar will not hold the tune until your strings stretch out so the first day is going to be frustrating, I tuned the top string and worked my way down and by the time I tuned the bottom string the top string was already out of tune so don't loose patience with it. just keep picking the strings even if your not playing anything so you can stretch them out.
a few other things worth noting is that it comes with a whammy bar, two allen wrenches for working on it, 3 different type picks (use the thin one for strumming), a case and a strap.
If your buying this to learn guitar on then I recommend waiting a few weeks or a month to see if playing guitar is something you really want to get into and if it is then buy a better amp (like a line 6 spider), a gold plated guitar cord or better one, and some better strings and you would have a really good set up

I bought this for my son for Xmas. He hasn't opened it yet because it isn't xmas yet, but I did and it is wonderful so far. I hope he has fun with it. Everything that it said it comes with it came with it, so I hope he likes it very much. Merry Xmas to everyone :) |

Love It ! |

I purchased this guitar for my 12 year old son. He had been teaching himself to play on a toddler guitar. He has not put it down yet. We have had this guitar and amp for a month now and all 5 kids playing with it plus mutiple friends, it sounds great. It was delivered securely packaged and ready to play out of the box. The worst thing I can say about it is the strap is not great, but we had our own strap from the toddler guitar, so we just switched them. I couldnt be happier with the purchase and neither could my son. He takes it with him wherever he goes, it's very portable. I would definately recommend it. |
