The value of a grass catcher is undeniable. If you don't want cut grass strewn across your lawn, you need to either rake after mowing or get a grass catcher. If you've decided a grass catcher is more of a necessity than an alternative, the question becomes what kind to get. One quality to look for is durability, because, let's face it, the grass catcher has a hard row to hoe, getting dragged over all sorts of terrain while wet grass and dirt are spewed into its basket. Another essential quality is rot resistance, because wet grass can cause some damage to frail fabric. I wanted to collect some of my clippings from the reel mower to use as mulch. I had allowed the grass to sit on the lawn. I had been cutting it twice to eliminate missed spots and break down some bigger clippings. This bag doesn't catch everything. You also need to pull back the load and reposition the clippings from the predominate left side every so often. I didn't expect much from this attachment, but it serves my purpose to gather a fair amount of clippings. |

It only fits 14" & 16" mowers! |

I experienced the same fit issues I see in many of these reviews. Luckily mine came with an instruction sheet and after trying without satisfaction to attach the catcher to the mower I noticed it says it is for 14" and 16" mowers. I talked to Harvardbooksellers & hopefully they will change their text to reveal this. Since I have not used the item they have agreed to issue a full refund. |

This item is not perfect, but its perfect for me.
(catches most of the grass clippings, but not all)
I have fresh clippings for my compost pile and my lawn does not have to be raked after each mowing. l |

Simple design, but still not very useful |
The design is laughable simple and that what got me interested, but some how the functioning did not suite the design, for one, it was difficult to keep the catcher on mower on irregular surfaces. I do not think its the catchers fault but the grass seems to accumulate at the front, and you have to wither push it back or bag it too often.
As per my experience, if they device a way to easily lock and unlock the hooks that attach the catcher with mover it will be a major improvement for the product. Some thing as simple as Snap on lock or a spring to keep the Catcher from getting off. |

Push Mower Catcher |

This is a good grass catcher. It is universal and I had no assembling to do to attach to my Scott 20" Push Mower. I have the Mower with the tracking wheels and the grass catcher just snaps onto that bar. The price was excelent $20 for the catcher. |
